Jr. Rangers VB 2020 Plan

How long is the season?

The season will be 6 weeks, September 8th thru October 14th

What is the cost for the season?

$150 per player

How often do they practice?

Practices will run from 2:30 to 4:15 on the days your child is in school following the Maroon/Gold schedule for this school year.   Parents need to pick up their child by 4:30 pm from FLAMS.

Where is practice held?

Forest Lake Middle School (FLAMS)

Will there be tryouts?

No.  All that register for this season will be included in the program.

Who is eligible to play Jr Rangers?

Jr. Rangers is not a school affiliated program. It is organized under the Forest Lake Area Athletic Association and run by Lakes Volleyball. All incoming 7th and 8th grade students from the Forest Lake community are eligible to play.  We will work with those families that do not attend FLAMS to assign their child’s practice dates.

Do I need a physical to play?

No. This is not a school affiliated program you do not need a physical on file at school for eligibility to play.

What about games and tournaments?

Due to COVID-19, the Lakes board has decided that this season will consist of volleyball instruction, training and in-house scrimmages.  The Jr. Rangers will not be playing any other schools during this season.  

What clothing and equipment does my child need to play?

Knee pads, court shoes, appropriate practice apparel, well labeled water bottle and personal hand sanitizer.

What if I learn, for some reason, that my child is not able to commit to the season?

If necessary, we will refund the fee (minus processing charges) within the first two weeks of the season only!

What if school is moved to distance learning only due to COVID-19?

Lakes will refund families based on the number of full weeks left in the season.  Breakdown is $25/week (6 weeks x $25 = $150)

Where will the game schedule be posted?

Once the schedule is defined, it will be posted on the Suburban East website for Forest Lake - https://suburbaneast.org/public/genie/19/school/4/
